Cycle Gear is having a sale on Heat-Out, 50-67% off. I seem to remember Yermo mentioned he liked this stuff. Are these prices worth jumping on?

I was skeptical when I first heard about these. I'm a convert. As long as the humidity isn't too high, they do provide significant cooling. I've used them through 110degF desert heat and even when just running around a parking lot they make the experience noticeably cooler.

I'm thinking of picking up an additional set myself.

Yes, counterintuitively, if you put on the right engineered fabric base layer, they will keep you cooler in hot riding weather. I was completely skeptical about this until I tried it myself. Now I won't ride without them. In my experience, these can usually be had for about $30 a set at Cycle Gear.
