Route 28 Fontana Road near the Gap

This is one of the most beautiful roads in the area. There are sections where the woods become so deep even in the middle of the day the light is muted with beams of sunlight piercing an often wet canopy. The road is often misty and fog can be seen hovering over the water in the evenings. 

It's wonderful curvy and a much faster road than the much tighter roads in the area. 

It's one of my favorites.
