On July 29th, 2023, I bolted on the final pieces so now the Oil Burner is whole once again. The plan is simply to stay relatively local and put the bike through it's paces. It worked well on the four mile test loop but we did sync the throttle bodies and adjust the CO, so I don't know if we made some mistake there. So the idea is to be conservative and see how it does. If it does well maybe we'll head further afield.
Bruce and I are planning to head out for an overnight ride. Where we go will largely depend on the weather since there are multiple systems moving through the area. Over the last two days on the DR650 my shoulders and neck are in pretty bad shape so we'll see how much I can do. It's highway miles that seem to hurt the most on the dual-sport.
Bruce, Duncan, and I are going to do another day ride, this time heading North to avoid the rains in this area and to the South.
Bruce is in town and we've been planning on a modest ride. But then we heard Ian was coincidentally also in town so the four of us, Duncan, Bruce, Ian, and I, are going to do a Southern Maryland Loop ride.
We're chartering Tabasco out of Sint Maarten again.
This is a quick local test to verify that there are no show stopper issues with the latest build. Once again I've made many changes and did not get nearly as much done as I had hoped.

The weather is once again unseasonably warm so we're going to head out on another modest ride.
A guided trip, coordinated by Colorado Motorcycle Adventures and R40Moto in Buenos Aires. We are headed for the mountains at the southern tip of South America.
I'm heading up to Yardley to try to be of some assistance for a few days. I'm not sure how long I'll be up there but I'm bringing all my work with me and using it as another excuse to test the latest build of the software.
The weather has warmed up dramatically so we're planning on a little afternoon ride.
We are crewing once again on a crossing from Norfolk to St Maarten aboard AraVilla, a Leopard 46 Catamaran. Start and end times are approximate because we are limited by weather. There are a few systems developing and may throw a wrench in our plans.
It's been since mid September that we've taken the DR's out. Today is a gorgeous fall day so we're thinking of heading up to Michaux to see what the fall colors up there look like. But first I have to get mine started, warmed up, and change the oil.
It's chilly but there is good wind today so we're going to try to take Behavior out for a half day sail.
It's been too long since we've run Duncan's boat. So we're going to be try to take a longer run to burn off more of the old gas.
I've been asked to crew on Tabasco. The vessel is currently anchored in shelter waiting for the storm to pass. I'm taking a bus up to join them. It's anticipated to be a 27 hour sail but the weather forecast has changed somewhat.
Ian is travelling cross country on his new bike. I'm meeting him in West Virginia and will take him on some of the best roads I know between there and home.
Taking Duncan's DR's out because they haven't been run in too long.
I need to go look at a Marina and figured we could tool around checking out some roads in the Deale area.
Bruce is in town so we're talking about doing a modest day ride since the scheduling between various events and obligations has gotten so challenging.
I am riding sweep for a tour group traversing the COBDR. I am going to use this opportunity for testing the MBM mobile app and post the results here.
