To my dismay the power distribution wiring is much more of a nightmare than I originally realized. In retrospect, the vessel should have been declared unsafe to operate in the survey.
Prior to delivering it to Annapolis, the wiring will need to be significantly cleaned up.

Megan suggested trying the old farmers tractor trick of mixing acetone and automatic transmission fluid in equal parts. We had used this with great success back on The Overdrawn. There's an access panel above the keel that provides a view down into the cavity and where one can see the cable, pulley, and attachment point. The swing keel on SV Will Sea is heavily corroded and will not move without a significant application of force. The hope is that the keel can be dropped and then removed. However, the design of the keel does not match the parts diagram that was found in the manual that came with the boat.
