This kept showing up in my feed on Facebook so I added it. There's drone video of it that looks spectacular. Deep deep ravine. Unpaved.
Gravel mountain pass where I lose the clutch cable on the DR650. I don't remember this being all that challenging.
A gravel mountain pass with a dramatic overlook. Some switchbacks as I remember it.
I didn't take any notes through here. I remember big vistas and steep drop-offs but will have to ride it again.
I didn't take any notes while riding this. I remember it to be an easy gravel mountain pass road, but I will need to check it out again. I believe it's part of the MABDR but will have to check that as well.
I came across this road on Facebook. The photos make it look like a gnarly muddy jeep trail.
Deep gravel for quite some distance then it turns into hard packed dirt. Not recommended for novices. Parts follow a beautiful mountain stream. I paced a blue heron flying above and to my right for some way.
On a recent street ride we rode this wonderful little route until it went unpaved.
I explored this road with Milner back in 2014. If memory serves it's moderately intense with some interesting water crossing. It's not something one could take a car through. I'll have to go back and refresh my memory.
Recommended to Duncan to check out. OSM lists this road as unpaved. I think I remember it from the Shenendoah 500. There are quite a number of very good unpaved roads all through this area.
OSM lists this as unpaved. We'll check it out.
