Turned 100K on the Blue Ridge Parkway.

My bike turned 100K miles on the Blue Ridge Parkway while riding with the same two guys I was riding with when I bought it 22 years ago.

99999 just as I rolled up to the Parkway in June 2014

"How cool would it be if you turned 100,000 on the Parkway?" Duncan had asked. By sheer coincidence my bike turned 99,999 just as we rolled up to the parkway. 22 years earlier, when I just got the bike, I rode across the country with Duncan to go meet Bruce. Here I was, 22 years later, riding with the same two guys. Awesome.

99,999 and the Blue Ridge Parkway

Coincidentally, the bike hit 99,999 just as we rolled up to the southern section of the Blue Ridge Parkway. It seemed strangely fitting.

Tires: To my shock and horror there are no Pilot Road 4 rears available for my bike from Revzilla. This is disturbing and I guess a consequence of riding such an old bike. Going to go with Pilot Road 3's for now. 92 K100RS Clutch Carrier

92 K100RS Clutch Carrier

There was no balance mark on this carrier. I'm replacing the clutch housing cover, clutch plate, the pressure plate, diaphragm spring, spacer ring, hex nut, compression ring, and the screws. The housing cover, pressure plate and housing need to be aligned so the heavy portion of each is 120deg offset from the others. How do I tell where the heavy side is on the clutch housing/carrier? Is it the side with the fewest holes?

K75 Correct Transmission Alignment Bolts

After some discussion on another thread, the idea has arisen that a set of three or four 125 mm by 8 mm by 1.25 pitch bolts - the barrels of WHICH WERE TURNED TO EXACT DIAMETER of the tranny/engine locator pins - would make the using of the "long bolt method" of tranny/engine alignment much easier as it would maintain the exactly correct orientation when time comes to slide the tranny forward and re-engage the engine. Unfortunately this idea arose about two days after I finished my spline
