    We talk a lot about the importance of staying "loose" on the bike, and having a relaxed grip and relaxed body. but what does that really look like? Pro racers are great at being seemingly relaxed while riding but it can be difficult to get a sense for it from the cameras, especially in MotoGP. I happened to come across the following video of Josh Hayes (3x AMA Superbike champion) riding his R1 at Road Atlanta that has a remarkable camera angle that shows the concept beautifully. Not that at no point does he tense up on the bars, grip too tightly, or seem to have stiff elbows - yet he is always undoubtedly in control. You can really see it in a couple of the longer corners where he is clearly not *visibly* working hard yet the bike is at a tremendous pace. I strive to be this relaxed:
