Best of the Blue Ridge Parkway
Section 1 - Soco Gap is where US 19 meets the Blue Ridge Parkway near Maggie Valley. The road rise to Waterrock Knob with panoramic views then drops to one of the lower points at Balsam Gap west of Waynesville.
Section 2 - Balsam Gap to Beech Gap - This section of the parkway climbs to the highest point. There's a large parking area there and it's a classic place for a photo with the sign. Numerous long range overlooks offer great views.
Section 3 - Beech Gap to Wagon Rap Gap - This section continues along the highest ridge with many great overlooks. It ends at the junction with US 276.
