Yet Another SV Will Sea Work Trip
This adventure took place on 'Tuesday April 9th, 2024'
I'm back in Charleston for another couple of days of working on the boat and working on the app. There's been significant progress made on the app during the last week. That trend is continuing. For this test trip, I've once again made a significant round of changes which I expect will likely surface additional issues. Sadly, the same cannot be said for the boat. At the present rate it'll be June before it leaves Marine Propulsion ... so something is going to have to give.
BUG: There is still some issue with mutexes that I do not yet understand. On processing background locations the mutex sometimes gets locked and releasing it from a settimeout handler does not seem to be working. However, at least this time through it recorded what looks like. good track. Getting closer.
Ha! The difference between the walk from the Hoopers Bald to here in the app compared to Strava is only 0.01 miles ... which is a 1.1% difference. I'll have to compare the two tracks in detail. Strava was running on the iPhone and the App on the Pixel 6. To date this is the smallest variance by an order of magnitude or more.
