Note to self: add a feature where an album of photos can be included in date order amongst the trip photos and style it to indicate it’s a click through and have the album pop up in a modal so the user doesn’t lose their place.
I’ll have to come up with some solution when sliding through in fullscreen mode.
This would be really useful in cases like today where I took a ton of photos related to one topic.

We toured the USS Wisconsin today while we waited for a weather window to ipen up so we can depart.
They had it covered in Christmas decorations with Christmas music blaring … on Veteran’s day.
The ship, however, is incredible.

The USS Wisconsin Battleship Museum
On November 12th, 2021, a Thursday while we were waiting for a weather window to open up, on a clear and sunny day we took the dinghy over to the Norfolk side of the river from where we had the AraVilla anchored to have breakfast and then tour the Battleship Wisconsin. They had then whole thing covered in thousands of Christmas decorations with Christmas music blaring. It felt offensive and disrespectful especially on Veteran s Day. But the ship was cool. It s hard to comprehend how massive it is.

We are going to have a relatively quiet day today so we’re going to see if we can get into the USS Wisconsin, which is a WWII era battleship open for tours.

We decided not to push it and instead anchor in Norfolk until Friday around noon when it currently, as of now, looks like we might have a good weather window.
